The Program
Committee is responsible for working with the incoming DSPP President
to develop the program for the upcoming year. The yearly topic is chosen by the
President. The program committee then reviews current and classic psychoanalytic
literature to identify readings that will be informative and relevant to the program
topics and speaker presentations, as well as stimulate discussion at our monthly meetings.
The committee structures a diverse program to meet the needs of our membership.
For additional membership information contact Skye Porter Moffitt, Ph.D. at 214-549-8783.

yearly membership list, and delivers membership materials, such as the year's readings to
the members. The Chair of the Membership Committee is appointed each year by the
President, after which the Chair appoints members to the committee. Service on the
Membership Committee is a one-year term of obligation with the bulk of the work performed
during the spring and summer preceding the academic (DSPP program) year.

help implement their programs and activities, and it manages its own
programs such as the DSPP/Fairhill Scholarship Competition, development of
general brochures for DSPP, and the DSPP Web Site. Due to the number of
ongoing projects there are several opportunities for members to contribute
and additional member participation is welcome.

The editor of
the DSPP Bulletin has the overall responsibility for producing
the society's newsletter, published monthly during the academic year. The purpose of
the Bulletin is to publicize and review the programs of the
society, to announce upcoming events of professional interest, to describe the activities
of the officers and committees on the society's behalf, to recognize professional
achievements of members, and to report on events at the national level in the Division of
Psychoanalysis (39) of APA.
The Bulletin,
along with the the DSPP web site, provides a pipeline for the flow of information within
DSPP. The editor works with the Executive Committee, the President, the Program
Director, and the Committee Chairs to keep the members informed about the workings of
DSPP.
The
newsletter includes announcements of psychoanalytically oriented professional activities
free of charge and takes no paid advertising.
